I usually criticise what I call the “Big Up-Front Estimate” sessions that I see when sometimes people try to break down features into stories and estimate them for the next 6 months or 1 year… Your law really expresses my thoughts Pat.
What I usually recommend is to only break down features into stories for the next 1 month or 2. We can still have some planning for the next months or year, but at a “feature” level, instead of at a “story” level. And we can still estimate the “features”.
