White Ferret

Its probably old news now to see people walking about with random animals for pets. One shining example is the ferret. Having said that I still don’t see it around too much – mainly one dude who hangs around Trafalgar Square. Coming home this afternon I realised that one of my neighbours has a ferret too. Well funny to see.

Making the most of “summer”

As usual the English weather is totally unpredictable. Nearly a month into autumn and this weekend we are experiencing one of the warmer and sunniest weekends we have for most of the summer.

Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth (not quite sure what one is) after some lunch and a quick hair cut at my favourite hair salon Hair By Fairy I took a nice loooong stroll through Hyde Park on the way home.

Surprise birthday gift

Received a surprise package from Jen from back home today – a late birthday present … sent by sea!

The biggest surprise … the glitter sparkly things that popped out of one of wrappers of one of the presents.

What a mess but I had fun making it!

Thanks Jen. The M&Ms were much appreciated.

Farewell friends

Just over four years ago I arrived in London with nowhere to stay, no job and really no expectations of what London could bring to me. There to help me were Elvira and Andrew. Elvira was my friend from uni and for a couple of months we were housemates out in Surrey. Good times.

Tonight I sadly said farewell to them as they embark on a new stage in their life – bringing Elsa up in Australia. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we cross paths again.
