Having never read the Douglas Adams’ novel that this movie was based on I had absolutely no expectations of what this movie was going to be like. What I saw I really liked. However, I think it is a bit of an acquired taste and I’m not sure whether it would have gone down very well in the States – the humour is so British. From the quirky characters to the smart lines this movie had me snorting in laughter constantly throughout.

The details of this movie are rather strange but basically it ends up being a boy-meets-girl, boy-loses-girl, boy-gets-girl-in-the-end tale.

The movie – I liked. My favourite character had to have been the forever depressed robot with an over-sized head named Marvin. He was so cute!
