As I mentioned in my last post, my good friends Elvira and Andrew moved into their Bayswater home last week. As a celebration of sorts they were nice enough to shout me to dinner at Tiger Lils. If any of you are familiar with those Ghengis Khan Mongolian Barbecue chains where you select your own ingredients and sauce and have the chef cook it up in front of you then you’ll have an idea of what my experience was like at Tiger Lils.
There are several dining options at Tiger Lils:
1 One bowl for – 7.90
2 Appetiser, bowl and dessert for – 11.90
3 Unlimited stir-fry – 12.50
I decided to go with option number 2: I can definitely say my appetiser (Sweet Chilli Squid) and dessert (balls of coconut, banana and chocolate ice cream) were fantastic. My main meal was not bad, subject as it was to a combination of ingredients of my own choosing. Sometimes its better to leave it up to the chef!! In addition to good food, Tiger Lils have an extensive drink selection (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and I can well recommend their Lychee Juice.
The restaurant at Bayswater was fairly quiet tonight (it is a Monday night after all) but it had a good ambience that ensured a small but regular flow of diners. All in all it was a satisfactory dining experience.
